BTS’ RM has been given a truly unique gift by fans.
On September 3rd the Korean Federation for Environmental Movement revealed that approximately 250 fans gathered on August 31 to build a forest named “BTS RM Forest No. 1” in celebration of the rapper’s upcoming birthday on September 12th.
In honour of the rapper, fans came together to donate 1,994,000 won (approximately £1.3k) and 9,120,000 won (approximately £6.2k) for a total of 11,114,000 won (approximately £7.6k) to go towards the forest that has been built in Seoul, South Korea.
RM (real name Namjoon) has expressed his love of nature on numerous occasions over the years and it is evident this has influenced his fans to help do their bit to save the planet and bring good to the environment. The fans who hosted this project also expressed their desire to create a ‘BTS RM Forest No2’ in 2020.
This is not the ARMYs first charitable donation this month, as in honour of Jungkook’s birthday on September 1st fans also raised funds to plant trees in the rainforest and hosted multiple beaches and park clean-ups all over the world.
