There’s a saying that too much of a good thing can be bad. In the case of Kizik sneakers, I respectfully disagree. I’ve been wearing the brand’s slip-on styles for the better part of two years, and I’m definitely not slowing down anytime soon. While I’ve focused my Kizik shoedrobe on the Athens sneakers up to now, there’s a new style currently giving them a run for their money.
The style in question? Kizik’s latest Milan sneakers, which I’ve been sporting for close to two months. The design is, in a word, cool — the sleek silhouette is accented by swooping appliqués at either side, logo tabs at the tongue and heel, and a treaded rubber outsole. They have removable and washable insoles, too. They’re available in both nylon and leather, with 10 different colors between the two. I have the leather version in Optic White, which features navy and orange contrast detailing, and I can’t stop staring at my feet every time I have them on. The kicks also come in neutrals like black, gray and tan, and more bold colors including teal and burgundy. The nylon styles are $119 while the leather silhouette rings in at $149, and they’re both available in sizes 6 to 13, including half sizes. I’m a true size 6, and they fit perfectly.

I’m not the only one in my immediate family to wear Kizik sneakers; I got my 74-year-old mom into the Kizik Athens, too, and she now has two pairs (I’ve bested her with three). You may be wondering why we love them so much — the answer lies in the combination of comfort and technology. Kizik’s hands-free functionality is a game-changer; we no longer have to bend down or sit on the ground to tie our shoes but can just slip them on and go; the back of the shoe springs back up around our heels instantaneously.
The comfort is unparalleled, too — no matter which style I try, I find I can walk miles and miles without ever feeling pain or fatigue. Whether I’m trekking around Disneyland, walking and hiking in Los Angeles, or wearing them on my travels to places like New Orleans and Sedona, my feet and ankles continue to be cocooned in comfort all day long.

When it comes to the Kizik Milan sneakers, I’m definitely not alone in my acclaim. They’ve garnered multiple five-star ratings from shoppers who rave about their comfort and fit — so much so that they’ve bought multiple pairs. One shopper who owns three pairs said they’re “very comfy and well made.” Another reviewer who works in the medical industry said they’re “wearable all day.” Other shoppers said they “never needed to break them in” and that they “get compliments” every time they wear them. Considering I’ve been stopped on the street and asked about them, I definitely agree.
Giving these Kizik sneakers the slip? I don’t think so (unless you count slipping into them and walking mile after mile throughout the week). Treat yourself to a pair and see why my mom and I are so obsessed.
