Both Gionni Dameron and Rashad Carr, both from Des Moines, passed away at a hospital after multiple gunshot wounds.

Preston Walls entered the establishment while Gionni Dameron and Rashad Carr were dining inside and shot them both numerous times, according to Des Moines Police spokesman Sgt. Paul Parizek.

Dameron Gionni Rashad Carr ultimately died away at a medical facility. William Holmes, the founder of the group and a partner with Des Moines Public Schools, was shot and injured as well.

Although rapper Will Keeps, whose real name is Holmes, “is severely injured,” his family said in a statement on Tuesday that “he is now more determined than ever to continue working on the mission of Starts Right Here.”

Preston Walls, a suspect, is detained

West Des Moines resident Preston Walls is charged with perpetrating the acts.

The police released the other two people who had been detained on Tuesday morning. Shortly after leaving the site, police located Walls in a brush pile on the south side of the city.

Walls is a well-known street gang member, say the police. Walls was allegedly on current probation for carrying an illegal narcotic and failing to apply a drug tax stamp, according to the Police.

He was found to be out on supervised pretrial release for public drunkenness and interfering with governmental activities while carrying a pistol, according to the evidence.
